On June 17, we had to say goodbye to our long-serving Treasurer, Hilde Fässler, who passed away after a long illness. With deep gratitude, we remember a person who supported Maisha Mema with great dedication, faithfulness, and wholehearted commitment.
We look back with sincere appreciation on the many years during which Hilde served Maisha Mema with exceptional loyalty, a strong sense of responsibility, and a caring heart. Her commitment, diligence, and devotion to our work in Tanzania have left a lasting impact on our organization.
We will remember Hilde not only as a dedicated member of our Board but, above all, as a wonderful person who touched many lives. Our heartfelt condolences go to her family and to all who knew and loved her.
New Responsibilities within the Board
At the same time, we look to the future with confidence and are pleased to announce several changes within our Board.
At the Annual General Meeting, Annemarie Kluser was elected as the new President of Maisha Mema. She succeeds Heinz Stäheli, to whom we express our heartfelt gratitude for his many years of dedicated service and wise leadership as President. We are delighted that Heinz will remain a member of the Board and continue to share his valuable experience with our organization.
We are also pleased to welcome Brigitte Weber as our new Treasurer. She takes on this important responsibility in grateful remembrance of Hilde Fässler and will continue the careful stewardship of our organization’s finances.
We sincerely thank Annemarie and Brigitte for their willingness to serve and wish them great joy, wisdom, and God’s abundant blessings in their new roles. Together, we remain committed to carrying forward the vision of Maisha Mema and serving the people of Tanzania with love and dedication.
